I was given these scales as a birthday present (requested!) in February 2011 to help calorie count my food. Using it for each meal and weighing everything and recording it I reached my goal weight loss of 3 stone in August. Without these scales it would have been far harder to work out quantities etc. Using them every day I have only just replaced the battery. There are slim line, flat enough to take any type of bowl or measuring dish and easy to use/keep clean. The only reason I have not given them a five star rating is that the booklet that comes with them providing the codes for food is, I feel, based on American products i.e creamed corn not sweetcorn. This is fairly easily overcome by measuring 100g of the product you want to know, noting the calorie content from the package and trying different codes to find a similar one and then recording that for future reference. (I don't think this would work for fat content etc or if you were diabetic and needed carb/sugar content) These helped me so much I am getting a set for my sister (for her birthday and requested!). They are also great as a very accurate basic measuring device.
