I liked it because it does exactly what it says on the tin to coin another phrase!
Remember ladies - its only temporary but if you put a small amount on and rub in very gently it effectively hardens on your lids tightening them up rather effectively. Don't put too much on as it cracks and flakes off your eyelids..
Makes a great base for powder eye shadow as I'm not too crazy about this particular colour but I'd buy it again in a different colour.

Eye lifting serum shadow is now the only shadow I use as I am so impressed with it.. I have mature skin-I'm approaching 60! Since discovering this product and I have been using it now for about three years. You only need a little for maximum effect, the brush loads generally just the right amount. Luminescence shade is great for highlighting under the brow.

Was really surprised how well this worked! Had read other reviews and thought I'd give it a go. It is worth every penny, really gives a lift to the eye. Hubby asked what I'd done differently with my eyeshadow as I looked amazing. Even told me to get another in a different colour as I should wear it all the time!! I blob a bit on with the brush applicator and then brush out with a small flat brush as this seems to give the best effected for lift and appearance/accuracy. Give it a go it's worth the cost!

I realise I'm not the intended market for this but I suffer from pretty terrible insomnia and have had a lot of problems with my skin over the years so my eyes are often a source of frustration; heavily lidded, droopy and generally looking less human and more day-of-the-dead. I was so surprised with this product which I bought on a whim when it was on offer. I could actually feel it lifting and taughtening my lids and opening up my eyes. I have noticed that I have to apply it in a certain way to achieve this affect but it is, nevertheless, excellent. The colour is subtle (which I like) and the wear is lasting. I love it.

I love this product I have all colours but would love to see shades of deep blue. The product does what it says on the 'tin', holds up my eyelids beautifully. Lets have more shades please

I bought this in luminescence on the basis of the other reviews. Lovely packaging and I was really looking forward to using it. It's without doubt the most horrible product I've ever used. Difficult to blend, creases after only a couple of hours and looks really, really cheap.
The pearly coloured cream dries to a really nasty, patchy pink that looks like the colour of a guinea pig's eyes.
It's going straight in the bin and to add insult to injury it was £9. Never again. If I could have given it no stars I would have done.

Have been using this for about six years - by far the best eyeshadow for us ladies of a certain age, and keep coming back to it after trying other things. It goes on well and helps to keep the lines and crepiness at bay.
HOWEVER - like other people am very dismayed that you have discontinued the 'Lace'. It was my default product as an eyeshadow base, used on my lids, under the brows and underneath 'Heather' as the definition shadow. 'Luminescence' just doesn't do the same job - it's too pearly and shiny and shows up the wrinkles and crinkles. As other reviewers have said, that's the last thing we need!
PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN TO US AND REINSTATE THE DISCONTINUED COLOURS.

I love this product but like other purchasers I was devastated when MOCHA was withdrawn, as it was my favourite colour. I would echo the comment that more mature ladies prefer the darker, subtle shades. PLEASE bring it back!

I like other reviewers logged on to purchase a colour which is not produced anymore! boo hoo!
I was purchased the 'rose' colour by a friend in a christmas hamper that she put together for me and was amazed by it! Tightens the skin above the eye with minimal usage and provides a contrasting bightness and colour to my skin to highlight my eyes.
I have since purchased the lip conditioner and also 2 of the colours that are now left in the palatte choice (which i hasten to add is not alot). This works Avon Anew - please produce some more colours for us.
I would recommend this produce to anyone who is thinking that 'paint on' eyeshadow is not their cup of tea - i sometimes even put this product on and then add a little powder shadow to the underneath of ym eyebrows as a highlighter. Top product ******

I bought this eyeshaow as I was looking for a product that didn't crack and crease as the day wears on. This eyeshadow really fit the bill - it stays perfect all day.
I am a busy working mum-of-two and wear very light makeup, just a slick of tinted moisturiser instead of foundation. This product in luminessence gives just enough "lift" to my eyes so that I looked groomed without looking made-up (or looking like my babies have had me awake half the night)
My only criticism is that it can somtimes come out a bit more like paint than shadow, but that's easily fixxed with some finger blending.
I will be buying this in another shade very soon.

Very much I love these shadows, their consistency and how long the hold on the eyelids. My favorite tone-"heather". I have blue eyes and it makes perfect contrast. The eyes are even brighter and more expressive. Need only wait when the shade to dry after application.

Love this but have to settle for another colour as you have stopped MOCHA, Please LISTEN to your customers and bring it back, older ladies do NOT want light pealised shades it makes the eyelids look worse not smoother WHICH DEFEATS THE OBJECT OF THE PRODUCT.

I totally agree with all the review statements this is the best ever eye makeup I have ever used its smooth and lasts all day but Please bring back MOCHA it’s a perfect colour I have purchased others in the range but MOCHA is my favourite.

I love this range especially for the maturer woman. The smooth eye serum glides on and goes along way. Iam starting to get crepe lids and this product firms my eyelids slightly to eliminate the saggy look.

Put on eye lids as a primmer, it makes other eye shadows as well as Avon's last all day and night. Only comes off when you take it off. Only found this out when I had used up my very expensive primer and tried it............BRILLIANT. Try for yourself for it is a cheap way to try.

I am 38 and find that powder eye shadow can make my lids look a bit crepe-y, so much prefer cream textures products which smooth on nicely now. This has just the right amount of pearlescence to brighten my lids and give them a bit of a glow, but not too glittery or shimmery. I wouldn't say this is a lifting eyeshadow (hence 4* rather than the full 5) but it does last well once blended in - you only need a smidge otherwise it does crease though; also works well as a base if you want a more dramatic look to give a dark eyeshadow something to cling to. I wear Golden or Topaz most days, and although a tube lasts ages I'm not sure what I'll do now Golden has vanished - would love to see more shades, but it seems they're reducing rather than expanding the choices in this range. I just hope this product does not end up being discontinued.........

I've been lapping this up for ages, hope it doesn't disappear like a lot of other products you just love and then, poof, gone - one of the things that drives me mental about Avon. I also loved the mocha! It was brill and I am still trying to find something as good for us 'mature' ladies that like a bit of a darker colour but can't take a smokey look (sadly, heehe) PLEASE BRING BACK MOCHA AND NEVER GET RID OF TOPAZ! It is my new mocha.
Good stuff tho. Just need to tap it after it has dried slightly on eyelids after application and if gives a lovely even finish. I've used other creamy applicator makeup and it dries and makes my eyelids look a bit wrinkly.
